HER STORY

Brenda F. Martin graduated Magna Cum Laude and ranked third in her class in Law School.  She obtained her Juris Doctor Degree in 2000  from N.C. Central University School of Law and holds a Bachelors of Science Degree  in Business Administration (B.S.B.A-1981) from East Carolina University.  Ms. Martin served as Senior Editor of the NCCU Law Journal from 1998-2000.  In the spring of 2011, Ms. Martin served as an Adjunct Professor of Law at NC Central University. She is also a member of the Susie M. Sharp Inn of Court.  Prior to becoming an attorney, Ms. Martin worked for the Public Sector in the Human Resources and Employee Benefits field for twenty years, until opening her own Law Practice in 2000.  Ms. Martin served on the Wake County Nursing Home Citizen Advisory Committee, and is its former Chair as well as serving on the Local Government Employees Federal Credit Union Loan Review Committee for more than a decade.  She is currently a member of The Raleigh Woman's Club Board of Trustees and formerly served as an officer on its Board of Directors as well as a Woman's Club member of many years.
